How Gamp works

Your balance, held by Gamp

Gamp holds deposited USDC in one Solana custody wallet and records each player’s balance in its database. Rounds, entries and settlement run on Gamp’s server. There is no smart-contract escrow and no token-holder vote: Gamp controls the wallet, database, source retrieval and software. The proof of funds sets that wallet’s USDC on Solana against everything Gamp owes, with every deposit and payout.

Make a pick

Each round publishes its question, source, entry price, close time and rules before it opens. Rounds cost 10 USDC to enter, taken from your Gamp balance when the entry is accepted, and take at most 10 players. Your pick is public the moment it is accepted: everyone sees your wallet and your pick on the round, in the live feed and on your profile. An entry cannot be edited or cancelled.

One winner per round

When the reading is in, every pick is measured against it: the difference for a number or a time, the distance over the Earth’s surface for a place. The closest pick wins the pot, less the 5% fee shown on every round. If two picks are equally close, the one entered first wins. The winnings go straight into the winner’s Gamp balance.

Refunds

If nobody else enters a round, every entry is refunded when entries close, with no fee. Every entry is also refunded in full, with no fee, if the source has published no verified reading 7 days after a round’s deadline. When the source confirms nothing qualifying happened in the window, such as no earthquake of the size asked about, the round is refunded soon after the window closes. Refunds go back into Gamp balances.

How a result is read

Every round says when its result is expected: a day round is read a set number of hours after its day ends, an event round a set time after the event. At that time Gamp’s server reads the source named in the round’s rules, keeps the file it read and settles from it. Each settled round shows that file, its fingerprint and how far every pick was from the reading. If the source is down or answers with something unusable, the server tries again later. A correction the source publishes after a round has settled does not change it.

Gamp’s house picks

Gamp’s own house accounts pick open rounds for free, one pick as each round opens and the rest over its last day, so the floor moves before players arrive. Every one of their picks carries a “gamp” tag. A house pick has no stake: it is not in the pot, takes no entry slot, is never ranked and can never win or change what a player wins. House picks are never counted as players. When a round with only house picks settles, the feed names the house account that came closest to the reading. The house accounts never sign in or hold money. They are:

What Gamp still does

The reading decides who wins. Gamp runs everything around it:

  • Holds every player’s USDC in one custody wallet. Its balance, and every deposit and payout, are on the proof of funds page.
  • Creates the rounds and names each one’s source before it opens.
  • Can pause new entries, deposits or withdrawals. Entries already accepted stay in their rounds.
  • Reviews a round when its source flags its own reading as uncertain. The round waits for a clean reading; with none 7 days after the deadline, it is refunded.

Deposits and withdrawals

Deposits must be native USDC on Solana mainnet, transferred directly from the wallet you signed in with. Gamp credits each finalized transfer to the wallet that signed it, automatically, usually within a minute. Withdrawals reserve your balance, then send USDC to that same wallet. Each request is 1–100 USDC, with a 500 USDC daily limit. Gamp pays withdrawal network fees. An uncertain transfer remains reserved while it is reconciled; it is never paid twice automatically.

Current availability

Paid entries, deposits and withdrawals are open to players who may play under the terms. Browsing and signing in do not by themselves make you eligible. See also the privacy notice.
